Retired Singles

Thank you for the interest you have shown in Retired Singles. You are not alone. We have many members who, like you, seek companions and are waiting for your letter or phone call. Our members come from all walks of life; professional people, factory workers, farmers. The one thing they all have in common is a need for companionship. Many nice things are happening to people just like you. Don't be left out. You may not have heard of Retired Singles before now so let me tell you why I started...

It is difficult for some people to approach others and make friends, so we find this a good way to make contact with others who have the same interests. About twelve years ago we placed our first ad. We have been growing and maturing since then. We feel that each month we learn something new and do a better job. We started out as a partnership but in 1988 we incorporated Retired Singles in the state of California. We will soon start our 15th year and our membership grows each year. We have been written up in many local newspapers and in two national magazines, Highway Herald, a Good Sam publication, and Trailer Life. We have found through personal experience that there is a great need for something special for the more mature person.

By becoming a member or Retired Singles you will have the opportunity to become acquainted with other members. If you would like to meet someone, why not give it a try and let us work for you? Some of our members are still working and are just beginning to think in terms of retirement or they are working to occupy their time and give themselves social contacts. Many members enjoy the outdoor life, camping and traveling in their RV's. Most are widowed or widowers. We have ladies from 50 to 80 years old and gentlemen from 55 to 80 years old as well.

When you become a member, each month you will be sent the names and short description of at least two other members. They will be sent the same information about you. It is up to you to make contact with each other. You will also receive a newsletter with what we hope are helpful hints and also news of other members. This will happen for six month unless you ask to be taken off our active list. You may choose to withdraw temporarily and become active later with no charge until your six month are used up.

We make every effort to introduce people in as close a proximity as possible. Age, smoking preference, location, hobbies and activities are matched. We ask that all our members respond to their matches. It just takes a minute to make a phone call or drop a line. If you find someone you are interested in, let us know so we do not continue to send your name out. You may come back in later and use the rest of your time . We have had many matches and we helped many isolated people get back into contact with people with similar interests and needs.

Long distance matches are not uncommon. Do not let distance deter you from the quest for a lifetime partner.

Most of our members are travelers and will come to see you, if invited. We obviously can not guarantee you will find a partner among our membership.

We do believe our members are honest and sincere and are looking for the same thing you are. Retired Singles will do all this for you for a fee of $80.00 for six months.
